Withings announces B2B division for remote patient monitoring. It discusses the connected offering simplifies the healthcare solution.

The company announced its B2B division. This was a part of its first remote patient monitoring offering in 2019.

Withings Health Solutions is the provider-focused arm of a connected health tech company, Withings.

It revealed a new remote patient monitoring program. Withings’ connected devices, including scales, watches, thermometers, and blood pressure cuffs, got presented in its offerings. This is to monitor patient metrics like blood pressure and sleep patterns. The connected tech company pitches the offering to providers. This is a way to simplify the remote patient monitoring process.

Withings uses a digital assistant included with the app. This is to help patients with activity tracking and monthly reports. In addition, this will assist with billing, electronic health record (EHR) integrations, and patient engagement tools.

This is not the first move made by Withing in remote patient monitoring space.

It got founded in 2008. Also, it was, later on, got purchased by Nokia in 2016. It was back by cofounder Éric Carreel two years later.

Withings announced its B2B division in 2019. This also included a data management and analysis hub. It also included its provider-facing remote patient monitoring(RPM) platform.

The company stated that it would use its $60 million Series B funding from July 2020. The company will use this to scale that division globally.

Antoine Robillard is the vice president of Withings Health Solutions. He stated, “Since launching Withings MED·PRO CARE, our first remote patient monitoring solution, we have continued to assess the market to identify pain points and identify strategies to allow RPM to take off and to be finally distributed at scale.”

He also continued that the missing constituent is attention to simplicity and a focus on patient experience.

Most of the efforts focused on technology integration for providers. This is also important but not enough for RPM to become successful. As a result, launching an RPM program and onboarding patients should become easier for all stakeholders.
