IMHA through its winter competition –ICS Winter 2025 will provide funding in the following six categories: Indigenous Health Research, Patient Engagement, Digital Health, Open Science, Pain and General IMHA Mandate. The goal of this funding is to support planning activities and dissemination events.
CIHR thrives to excel, as per the regulations of internationally accepted standards of scientific excellence in the field creating new learning and its utilization in order to create improved health, an effective health service and its products along with strengthening the healthcare system. CIHR has a unique way of integrating the research through an interdisciplinary structure comprising of virtual institutes and initiatives. Whereas, these institutes and initiatives are networks of researchers and stakeholders coming together to focus on important health issues and their solutions, each of these institutes and initiatives has a particular area of focus, joining and supporting researchers pursuing common goals.
The institutes and initiatives achieve these goals by offering planning and dissemination grants within the Institute/Initiative Community Support (ICS) Program. The object of the Planning and Dissemination Grants to provide support to planning and dissemination activities which are in compliance with the mandate of CIHR or Institutes and Initiatives related to CIHR. The Planning activities include developing partnerships and increasing understanding of health research areas which in-turn contributes to the advancement of research that is in consistent with the CIHR mandates. Whereas, dissemination events include activities which focus on the communication of proof of health research to suitable researchers or interested knowledge seekers.
CIHR is committed to giving opportunities to the underrepresented groups in science in order to enhance excellence in research, training, knowledge and their utilization. The proposal must show measures taken by organizers of planning and dissemination activities as to how purposefully it engages members of the underrepresented groups of science.
