A value-based care provider will now use telehealth for opioid addiction. It is 100% virtual when it comes to treating addiction.
A value-based care provider is virtualizing healthcare to treat addiction disorders. Healthcare closed down 120 clinics during a pandemic. It has wholly transitioned to telemedicine for treating its patients. Opioid use disorder treatment will now be completely virtual using telemedicine. The increasing advancements focus on submission and drug screens. They even sanction insurance processes for different groups in the recovery program.
Michelle Cartier, Vice President at Groups, stated,” We knew at a minimum we needed to: 1) Reduce friction in the onboarding experience; 2) Make care more accessible and consumable so that members can more easily engage with their counsellor and in their group sessions; and 3) Build a direct integration with our EHR to reduce the administrative burden on our clinicians, To accomplish these goals, the provider organization built the Groups mobile app to create what it describes as a welcoming, supportive and intuitive member experience – all powered by a unified and integrated platform.”
She also explained that there is still a lack of integration between different technologies. The EHR was also wholly futile. Group saw this as an opportunity to offer virtual treatment services. They tend to form a focus group and inherit members. Also, they did quick feedback on what members expected. They also discussed what kind of care provided with telemedicine.
To speak of the vendors, many had efficient telemedicine technology and services. They tend to serve healthcare in the IT market. There was a clear description of the benefits. Groups used the intake appointment for their meeting. It also rolled out a mobile app last year.
The platform was earlier up for beta testing. It was in the region of Kentucky. Also, they will get screened, updated, and benefit from a person-centred care plan. They can also attend appointments via video. They will then slowly progress toward getting treatment from the point of view of toxicology. The program continues to focus on opioid therapy.
