This project is about utilizing eHealth and telemedicine solutions. It will improve the quality of the healthcare services for the groups which are advantaged.
The polish and the Norweigian scientists and the health personnel are about to collaborate on a new project. This Norweigian Polenprosjektet project is an initiative launched to equalize health service access. It will also benefit the impoverished groups in the remote areas of Poland.
Within 2020-2024, the initiative will develop at least seven models and the procedures for eHealth. It will also develop digitalization in the areas of geriatrics, cardiology, psychiatry, palliative care, obstetrics, and chronic diseases.
This project is getting the fund from the Norwegian Financial Mechanisms, EEA Grants. The Ministry of Health – Department of Innovation in Poland is the operator of the program. They are responsible for this project.
The Norwegian Centre for eHealth research will now serve as the project partner. They are contributing to the project by sharing competence and research.
This project is aiming to reduce social inequalities through equal access to health services. The method for this project has three activities. It also includes the development of the models for eHealth within the 7 medicine fields. There is competence building for the residents and the personnel of health. Also, the method includes the information campaigns and the promotion for the projects.
The reduction in the inequalities in health access is a trending focus in Europe recently. The African Union has also criticized the Digital COVID Certificate of the EU for creating inequality in access. They created it by not recognizing the Civishied vaccine.
In March, the European Commission proposed the EU Health program in response to the COVID-19. It has also invested Eur1.5 billion in the EU countries. Thus the health organizations and NGOs are about to boost innovation and to build resilience in the health systems.
The Norwegian Centre for eHealth Research will contribute to the project while sharing the research and competence. It will also contribute to the resources in the working group within the necessary fields. It will facilitate the cooperation between the scientists and the health personnel in Poland and Norway.
