Mobile tools to facilitate persuading the Anti-vax to get vaccination

An Ohio-based managed care payer takes part in five-state programs. It aims to increase the rate of vaccination in the country.

CareSource to start behavior change in the anti-vax via mobile tools. Most Americans already got their vaccine shot. Though, there is still a population of anti-vax in the country. Health care tends to focus on reducing the number.

CareSource recorded the lowest vaccination. The care provider represents and focuses on the most vulnerable. It also gains a lot of experience from the challenges that came across the way. The pandemic increased the need to focus on underserved communities.

It highlighted the issues faced by the people at the community level. The messages and solutions were not able to reach the community. However, it was due to its unique status in the journey of vaccination. Every member of the community was on a different pedestal.

The Care payer explained their process as going beyond a check the box. It believes in engaging members to maximize the impact. They also conducted a survey to identify the position of the members. The survey was particularly associated with the person.

The mobile tool Vendor mPulse utilized a conversational AI platform. It tends to channel two-way relationships with organization and patient. It also helped them deliver personalized solutions.

Chapman also explained it further by stating, “To deliver the personalized engagement needed over the range of health beliefs individuals could have, mPulse developed a Vaccine Engagement solution delivered through a combination of conversational AI-supported text outreach and bite-sized streaming health education experiences.”

The mobile tool facilitated conversational engagement. The text messages assured a high read rate and voice to the members. They also shared video clips to attract the members for vaccination.

CareSource used the app in different lines of business. They also featured it in Marketplace, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and across five states.

A total of 664,000 members took part in the program. The figure doesn’t include already vaccinated citizens.

The program held the vision to influence and increase vaccination. It also focussed on addressing all kinds of health equity concerns. Howevere, the program achieved its goal via mobile tools.
