The Indonesian government incorporates various digital platforms. The increasing number of covid patients in the country demands some action.
Indonesia is currently experiencing the third wave. It aims to enhance its telemedicine services outside Jakarta. The service is going to be available for asymptomatic or mild covid-19. The government tends to cooperate with 17 health platforms. It also includes Halodoc and Alodokter.
Aido Health, GetWell, Good Doctor, and YesDok will join the great cause. SiCepat and Kimia Farma are also on board to ease effective telemedicine. The government defined eligible beneficiaries. However, they are the ones who test positive after taking an RT-PCR test.
Tested positive patients will receive a WhatsApp message. It will have a link to book an online consultation with a professional. The professionals will also be from their patient service providers. The consultation will end with the doctor issuing a digital prescription. Patients are going to get free medicine.
State officials also informed the tight social restriction. They also offer major urban centers in greater Jakarta. The third wave infection led to these activities by the state.
The country prepared the region for the spike in the cases. Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin also states, ” they will expand the government’s telemedicine service to greater Bandung, greater Solo, greater Semarang, Yogyakarta, greater Malang, and Denpasar this week.
