IDAHO Health data exchange goes beyond HIE to incorporate advanced data sharing.

As Capitol Health association started running, Idaho health Data Exchange started overcoming its lack of confidence from the stakeholders. For meeting the needs of the providers of Idaho, the priority was to deliver longitudinal records for health. Stakeholders can trust it for achieving care management and for measuring the performance for better quality improvement.

The main motto is to implement a proven identity solution for providing health information. IHDE also needs the establishment of a unique patient ID for the enrolled individuals who are having HIE records.

To assist IHDE with the delivery of reliable longitudinal health record information, HIE also opted for selecting health IT vendor 4medica. It is for their patient indexing technology with Big Data MPI and MPI tech as the Service for identity resolution.

This work is encompassing the normalizing and standardization of data along with clinical terminology. It is processing data for aggregation with the enterprise data warehouse, which is supporting FHIR based tools and analytics.

4medica understood this issue regarding data quality for patient identification. The first action was to opt for an in-depth assessment of this health data of HIE. Based on it, the vendor is proposing the cleaning and normalizing of the data. Also, it is going to delete and duplicate the record information. There are also isolating data issues in each of the levels which need to be addressed.

4medica is also further outlining a master of data management to the road map. The company is advising the leadership of the team for the hybrid approach to create and invigorate a robust enterprise.

The new IHDE tools are made for supporting and improving the population system of the state. It is now taking health and vale based initiatives for care. The vendors built a data quality program for the augmented development of eMPI. HIE is also establishing its relationship with Aunt Bertha for connecting to people who are seeking help.

With this new patient index increase, there is a steady enhancement in the users from the HIE portal from the past years due to COVID 19. It has improved the identity of patients while matching with the foundation of HIE. IHDE is now offering the ability to generate more data.
