Samsung Electronics, a global tech giant, has announced a new line of wearables that leverage the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance digital health monitoring and wellness for users.

The new wearables include the Samsung Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch7, and Galaxy Watch Ultra, which leverage the revolutionary Galaxy AI to offer personalized insights as well as tailored health experiences, allowing them to understand their wellness through a holistic approach to digital health monitoring.

According to the company’s announcement, the AI-powered Galaxy Ring comes with a full host of digital health and wellness features that help users track their well-being without the need for multiple gadgets and leverage daily insights to improve their wellness.

Due to its sleek design, users can comfortably wear it on their fingers throughout the day to monitor daily health and wellness. The ring continuously monitors heart rate throughout the day, providing real-time cardiovascular-related insights.

The ring is also equipped with advanced sensors that enable it to assess the user’s stress levels and provide relaxation techniques. It also features activity sensors that automatically detect and monitor daily activities such as running, walking, cycling, and log activity duration, as well as calories burned.

The Galaxy ring also has a sleep-tracking feature based on a sleep AI algorithm that analyzes the wearer’s sleep patterns. The algorithm detects when the wearer falls asleep, analyzes the duration of the sleep, and measures the overall quality of rest. This information helps users understand their sleep patterns and build better sleeping habits.

In addition, the sleep AI algorithm generates snoring analysis and sleep score with new sleep metrics such as sleep latency, movement during sleep, and respiratory and heart rate, providing a comprehensive analysis of users’ sleep quality.

The ring also comes with Cycle Tracking helping users track their menstrual cycle by monitoring overnight skin temperatures.

Galaxy AI routinely generates detailed and insightful health reports, including various health metrics, to help users better understand their well-being status and gain insights for improvement.

Galaxy’s AI-enabled feature Energy Score, usually calculated based on Sleep, Activity, Sleeping Heart Rate Variability, and Sleeping Heart Rate, keeps users informed of how their health influences their daily lives.

Users can then use the detailed recommendations to focus on improving their daily well-being. The Wellness Tips feature is driven by individual interest and comprehensive data.

The digital health monitoring ring also features a Heart Rate Alert that instantly notifies users via the Samsung Health app of abnormally high or low heart rates while allowing them to access additional details such as heartbeat per minute and the time it started and normalized through Live Heart Rate Check.

According to Samsung, the ring also motivates users to stay active through automatic activity tracking through the Auto Workout Detection feature and daily fitness reminders via the Inactive Alert feature.
