WOVOP is amongst the three organizations from across the world to be awarded the HMF Women’s Wellness International Grant of 2024. This grant is from the Huiying Memorial Foundation and will reward WOVOP for efforts in the protection of vulnerable populations’ mental health. They will use the grant to continue the growth of WOVOP’s efforts to enhance mental health and resources in these groups.

The recognition is an acknowledgement of the great work it achieves in achieving mental health disparities in the communities served. With the help of the HMF Women’s Wellness International Grant, WOVOP is positioned not only to increase its reach but also to offer even more extensive mental health assistance.
Promoting Mental Health in Kenya’s Kisumu County
#MentalFridays interventions will remain WOVOP’s primary areas of operation, with a focus on expanding them to Kisumu County. These interventions are aimed to educate, support and encourage increased access to mental health services in both cyber and physical domains, which is essential for the communities in Kisumu.
WOVOP Looking Forward to 2025
While embracing this achievement, WOVOP will continue to support mental health awareness and intervention programs in its mission. By 2025, WOVOP is poised to further its mission with fresh developments and actions that will continue to enhance the mental health of at-risk populations.
