The Central Government of India has also earmarked a special fund of ₹ 4,400 crore for developmental and reform projects in Chhattisgarh. A large part of it will be directed towards augmenting the state’s health care system setting up 15 new medical colleges and other such projects.

The Chhattisgarh government has recently, for the first time, disclosed its plan to construct a 5000-bed medicity on 200 acres of land in Nava Raipur. This project is among those defining the state’s medical tourism development concept as well as recognition on the international level.

The medical city will have a state-of-the-art multi-specialty hospital, medical colleges, diagnostic centers, and hostels. It will also include general department stores, amusement, hotels, and boarding facilities aimed at serving patients and visitors.

Strategies to Achieve an International Medical Destination

The elaborate medical project intends to make Chhattisgarh a preferred healthcare destination not only within India but globally. It is believed that this approach will stimulate employment and contribute to the development of healthcare systems in the state.

Strategic Partnerships for Change

Chhattisgarh is going to see a remarkable improvement in both quality and access to healthcare facilities with the Centre’s funding and the state’s medical project. Such changes remind one of how both the Central and State governments have been working hand in hand to ensure a sound health care system in the area.
