Hospices across the UK have been provided with inputs of £100 million in order to enhance provision for adult and children’s hospices. A further £6.25 million will also maintain the Children’s Hospice Grant in 2025/26. This funding will assist in improving the care and support provided to families and patients in these crucial services.

Mat Cottle-Shaw, The Chief Executive Officer of Rotherham Hospice, said he was delighted with the funding.
He stated, “It has been a pleasant progress towards the provision of adequate and sensitive healthcare service delivery to our communities. At Rotherham Hospice, I realize how these funds will benefit not only the looks and functionality of our space but also the patients we serve.
Together, we are making a world in which everyone can fulfil the wishes of his life with dignity and support.

Wes Streeting, MP, has been key to making this funding a reality. It also reasserts a long-standing dedication to enhancing hospice services to help more patients and families receive proper end-of-life care.
