UC Health has received $2.65 million from the Farmer Family Foundation to facilitate the $8m renovation of the neuro-intensive care unit, often referred to as the neuro-ICU. This unique addition completes a fundraising campaign that has been initiated in an effort to improve the methods of treating neurological patients with critical conditions.
Upgrading Neuro-ICU Amenities
The funds will cover renovations of the neuro-ICU to provide patients with excellent facilities and equipment to serve patients’ and staff’s needs. The upgrade will entail better equipment to enable patient care, private bedrooms, and better family areas to enhance healing.
All of these advancements correlate with UC Health’s focus on delivering outstanding neurological healthcare and marketing the hospital as a premier provider of specialized medical care.
Enabling Critical Care Success
Neuro-ICU deserves an important role in managing patients with complicated neurologic disorders such as stroke, TBI, and other critical conditions. The renovation project will help the hospital to improve its capability to deliver quality, safe, and individualized patient care.
