The management of The Superior Group is proud to reveal a $750,000 contribution towards Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a step towards improving pediatric medicine. This donation will go to three different areas of service that can enhance the children’s and their families’ existence.
Meeting Behavioral Health Requirements
Some of the funds will be spent on increasing the range of offered community mental health calls for early intervention for children struggling with emotions, behavior, and development. This support will ensure that young patients get the needed therapy and treatment in line with a growing focus on mental health.
Enhancing Complex Care
It will also help The Superior Group to support Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Complex Care program, the Columbus Muse. This program is intended to deliver organized, focused, and individualized multidisciplinary medical treatment to children with multiple chronic diseases. By having an interdisciplinary team, patients and their families will have individualized care plans for their illnesses.
Introducing Butterfly Paws A Therapy Dog Program
A new program to be supported by the funds raised by this donation is the Butterfly Paws. It will involve patients, families, and staff with the help of therapy dogs. The goal of this creative intervention is to give playful and comforting contact to children and help them feel better during their stays at hospitals.
