A global medical pathology imaging sharing platform, PathPresenter, has secured $7.5 million in a series A funding round to speed up the adoption of its pathology workflow solution.
Co-founded in 2017 by Krushnavadan Acharya, Cory Batenchuk, and Rajendra Singh, the company’s platform provides a HIPAA-compliant environment for medical image-sharing, allowing an effective collaboration between pathologists to provide better medical for their patients.
PathPresenter’s latest funding round was spearheaded by AVANT BIO, with a significant contribution from Modi Ventures and Barco NV. The successful Series A funding round underscores investors’ confidence in PathPresenter’s mission to transform medical pathology.
The company will use the new capital to advance its vendor-agnostic platform, hire new talents, and fast-track regulatory milestones.

The company, which started as a free online education platform for pathologists, quickly grew into the world’s leading pathology community, with over 50,000 active users from 172 countries.
Following the success of its platform, PathPresenter created a secure and scalable enterprise technology solution, expanding its use into other areas of healthcare, including remote consultations, clinical care, and research. Currently, the enterprise solutions are used by over 50 hospitals, labs, and pharmaceutical firms.
