It is worth noting that Telehealth has become one of the biggest sectors in the medical industry in recent times and this is all driven on the back of the pandemic which meant that people wanted to take care but virtually from the comfort of their homes. Due to that reason, it has been noted that Telehealth grew from 17% adoption before the pandemic to 47% patients after the pandemic who had tried Telehealth for the first time. However, there are a few issues that need to be tackled in Telehealth and there are some companies working on those issues right now.
One such company is OpenLoop which aims to bring Telehealth support platform and has just raised a round of $15 Million in Series A. According to a recent report related to Telehealth, it was found that providers who provide their services virtually can improve their payment process as well as provide payment options. Also, they can offer payments through a website and offer payment plans to innovate and make it easier for patients to take advantage of this new technology.
This is where OpenLoop’s platform comes into play as it provides a way for clinicians to manage appointments as well as write prescriptions and chart notes as well as handle bookings and payments. Nava Ventures, who led the funding round for OpenLoop, said “We are excited to partner with OpenLoop because of our confidence in the team and their ability to build a truly differentiated telehealth platform that streamlines virtual care while making it simple,”
OpenLoop’s CEO and Co-founder Jon Lensing said that “Our commitment to providing virtual care services that focus on supporting superior and meaningful patient care at every touchpoint is what’s driven that success,”. He added that “We look forward to the opportunities this next round of funding will bring to the company and our clients.” as the firm has already started offering patients reimbursable services via a nationwide insurance payer network. OpenLoop also claims that they already have a network of 6000 clinics and 30 digital health specialists and support more than 15 languages.
