A Philippines-based female technology startup, Kindred Health Inc. (Kindred), has secured $5.5 million in a Pre-Series A funding round for technology advancement, geographical expansion, and new services.
According to the company’s announcements on July 15, reported by BusinessWorld, the new funding included $2.5 million raised in the first tranche of Pre-series A round led by Integra Partners, with an additional $3 million in commitments.
Other key investors, such as Kaya Founders, Ava Zobel Pessina, KSR Ventures, Tenco Capital, Pawikan Capital Group, and angel investors Micaela Beltran and Frans Beltran, participated in the round.
Kindred Health Started as a Virtual Health Platform
Founded in 2021 by CEO Jessica de Mesa, the startup began as a virtual clinic before establishing a physical clinic in 2023 in Taguig City, Metro Manila. It offers consultations on contraceptives, mental health, health screenings, intravenous therapy, immunizations, nutrition, fitness coaching, as well as other wellness services.
The new capital will help the femtech company to improve its platform’s technology for a better online-offline experience, build 10 more women’s clinics, and launch new services focusing on issues related to women’s health, such as infertility, infectious diseases, and menopause.
