FemTech startup Hyivy Health has secured $2M in a seed funding round to advance next-generation pelvic rehabilitation technology to clinical trials in preparation for market entry.
Founded in 2019 by Rachel Bartholomew, the company developed a remote therapeutic monitoring system for gynecology and pelvic medicine.
The round was spearheaded by Zcube – Zambon Research Venture, with the participation of Equation Angels, Beresford Ventures, FACIT, Women’s Equity Lab, mHub, and the founding partner of Chai Ventures, according to a report.
New Pelvic Rehabilitation Platform
Hyivy Health’s new technology has been designed to address pelvic illnesses many cancer survivors face after surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation during cancer treatment. S
Such treatments may significantly change the patient’s pelvic area, resulting in scar tissue formation, nerve damage, and reduced blood flow. These side effects can lead to long-term health challenges, impacting survivors’ quality of life.
The technology solutions bridge the gap between healthcare professionals and patients, offering the first-ever gynecological and pelvic baseline, therapeutic interventions, and real-time monitoring via the clinicians’ portal.
The additional capital will help Hyivy launch its products in the United States, with over 25 clinics expected to use its platform in California. Currently, the company is working to recruit pelvic floor and gynecological physiotherapy clinics to adopt the new technology as the company gears toward FDA approval.
