Bintulu Hospital is going to expand the cardiac services and starting the advanced heart care to Sarawak for improving the health in the region.
Sarawak federal government supervises healthcare administration, Sarawak’s peoples are facing the hurdles in Cardiac health medical services. A dedicate a team is aligned to complete the mission and address the challenges for improving healthcare in the region. The Sarawak Heart Foundation has been working together with Bintulu Hospital for more than 20 years. This partnership will help the hospital to expand and improve its heart care services. Through this long-standing collaboration, they are working to provide better heart treatment options for patients in the region.
Bintulu Hospital requires approximately $2.1 million to upgrade its angiography system for heart treatments.
This important upgrade in Bintulu Hospital will offer cardiac angiography services for the very first time. This means that patients with heart disease like heart attacks will now have access to advanced heart care, giving them new hope for better treatment and recovery.
The upgraded lab will able for percutaneous coronary intervention which provides Bintulu Hospital the second MOH hospital in Sarawak to offer such facilities. The Sarawak Heart Center face challenges in providing the emergency services for cardiac care. To address this issue was discussed with the Federal Ministry of Health.
Bintulu Port Authority and their leadership donate the amount of $150,000 towards the $2.1 million target set by the Sarawak Heart Foundation. Their support is linked with government organizations and multinational companies which brought us closer to realizing this ambitious of this project. Bintulu Hospital’s staff will provide the heart care services after the required training. The combined efforts to bring heart care services to the people of Sarawak will always be remembered.
