An Amazon exec says that the organization is having a bit of interest from the other companies to use this service.

Amazon Care has signed many of the companies to its telehealth service. An executive said this on Wednesday. As this customer giant continues with its rolling out of services in 50 states, it is expanding its telehealth service.

While talking about the WSJ Tech Health event, Amazon VP Babak Parviz said they have some interest from other companies. The other companies are having some interest in using this service.

Amazon Care is planning to expand its digital component in the next few months to every state in the US. They will also make available the services to the other company employees besides Amazon. For using this service, they have to sign up with Amazon. Their plan is aiming to expand the service nationwide.

Amazon has created waves across the industry of telehealth as it came up with the confirmation this year. The confirmation said they want to expand their app base care services nationwide. As a hybrid service, users in Washington State and from Baltimore and D.C can access the care. They can have the care with the in-person aspect for following up the needs such as blood draws.

It comes with an entry point, which is a usual phone app. Parviz said that the company is further planning to make its full service available in the other regions as fast as they can.

Amazon is also talking about launching an at-home testing service. It has made an investment of hundreds of millions of dollars for the employees’ COVID-19 testing. They have decided to be the additive for the healthcare system rather than being subtractive. They are aiming to build their test facilities.

The initiative has taken place within a matter of weeks after the planning. This is coming from a company that has never built a test facility or anything that remotely resembles it.

Amazon is not only the major retailer that is coming forward in this game of telehealth. This week Walmart also signaled about their planning to expand their virtual services. They are filing to do business with more than a dozens of states.
