The Central Government has also earmarked a special fund of ₹ 4,400 crore for developmental and reform projects in Chhattisgarh. A large part of it will be directed towards augmenting the state’s health care system setting up 15 new medical colleges and other such projects.

AIIMS Delhi is already spending above ₹300 crores in creating a digital environment that will help implement AI in its healthcare solutions. Launched by the director, Dr. M. Srinivas, its primary goal is to enhance productivity, minimize time delays, and facilitate proficient research. Dr. Srinivas also pointed out that AI will declutter health information, making the patient more engaged and therefore enabling them to do better in the system.

WOVOP is amongst the three organizations from across the world to be awarded the HMF Women’s Wellness International Grant of 2024. This grant is from the Huiying Memorial Foundation and will reward WOVOP for efforts in the protection of vulnerable populations’ mental health. They will use the grant to continue the growth of WOVOP’s efforts to enhance mental health and resources in these groups.

Uppsala University has been granted an incredible 48 million SEK as part of Sweden’s national program. This substantial amount will support 14 innovative research projects to tackle the world’s issue of antibiotic resistance. These projects will explore essential themes of resistance mechanisms, development of diagnostics tools and address emerging public health challenges posed by AMR.
